Motorola launches Moto C Plus with 30GB free data for JioPrime Users
Motorola has launched another entry level smartphone in India- Moto C Plus which is the successor of Moto C. The launch of the smartphone is aimed to lure first-time smartphone buyers and is priced at Rs 6,999. Motorola has been planning to launch the smartphone from the last few weeks and it will be exclusively available on Flipkart.
Motorola entered the offline market with the launch of Moto C. It was expected that the Moto C Plus would also be exclusive to offline market, but that’s not the case. The device will be available for the sale on the site from now onward.
The Moto C Plus has a plastic body that has same design features of Moto G5 series. The device has 5-inch screen display same as the Moto C but has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, featuring a 2.5D curved glass on top. The C Plus comes with hardware capacities-touch keys instead of on-screen navigation keys as seen on the earlier phones.
Powered by MediaTek MT6737 SoC, Moto C Plus has 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, with 1GB/2GB of RAM. The phone also has 16GB of internal storage with support of storage expansion via MicroSD card slot. The device supports microSD cards up to 32GB.
The Moto C Plus has an 8-MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12-micron pixels, auto-focus and a 71-degree field of view. The smartphone features a 2-MP front-facing camera along with flashlight.
The smartphone is 4G LTE enabled and comes with options of VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port. Moto C Plus comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Google Assistant on top.
The Moto C Plus has a large 4000mAh battery which is class-apart and highlight of the phone. Motorola says that the device delivers battery life of two days with fast charging support.
The handsets come in three variant colors priced at Rs 6,999. With the launch of C Plus, Reliance Jio has also announced an additional data up to 30GB for its buyers. To avail the offer the buyers must hurry to buy the phone within the offer period and must have a Jio SIM. However, the break-up is not yet clear but it is assumed that the additional data will be available as booster pack to the JioPrime customers. It will be given to users once the data is completely used up before the validity of the base pack expires.
